A QUICK WALK DOWN THE LANE

Connect the neighbors.

Use the clues to work out which cottage, tea and flower belongs to each resident. Cottages are numbered 1 to 4 from left to right. All values in each category are used exactly once.

Each grid pairs residents with one category. Tap a square to cycle unknown ? → yes ✓ → no × → unknown. A yes automatically marks the other cells in that row and column no, matching the original Tako Bako smart-marking rule. Undo reverses the complete change, including automatic exclusions.

Clues about two different things refer to their cottages. “Mint tea is next to Owl” means their cottages are neighbors; “left of” can be any distance, while “immediately left” means one cottage apart.

Check my notes verifies whether your marks can still lead to the unique solution. Reveal one match fills the next correct pairing and counts as assistance. If your marks conflict, undo or erase them first. Click clue cards to cross them off yourself.

A STORY WITH ROOTS

Source & artwork

Bramble Lane adapts the mark cycling, encoded square keys, automatic peer exclusions and complete-answer validation from CyanAutomation/tako-bako, commit 2a56fafa, under GPL-3.0. The twelve woodland cases, clue constraints, exhaustive offline verifier, interface and saves are new. It does not use the original online puzzle or hint API.

Four original animal portraits were generated with a GPT image model and optimized as local WebP assets. They appear on the playable grid rows and in the cottage lineup as you solve it.
